Lilliput Childcare have operated crèches in the Dublin 18 and Wicklow areas for twenty-five years, during which time we have offered a range of childcare options for babies and children aged three months to twelve years.
During the summer we offer a number of Summer Camps at our state of the art Rathdrum Creche, which sits in a superb rural location with over an acre over outdoor play area alone. Our Camps have always proved immensely popular and would include activities such as Art & Crafts, Music, Drama, Football, Bouncy Castle, Outdoor Obstacle Course, Bicycle Track with Bicycles and for the children who like to enjoy what nature has to offer we’ve got a Hen Run and Vegetable Patch too.
This year we’re adding to our programme with a number of dedicated Special Needs Camps.
We have decided in addition to our weekly camps to offer a number of camps dedicated to those with special needs, giving them an opportunity for them to make new friends and enjoy a new experience. Because of our location it’s ideal for a family day out too as we’ve got some of the delights of Wicklow on our doorstep such as Brittas Bay and Avoca.
Lilliput Childcare have staff members who are very passionate about ensuring that children with special needs are given every opportunity to develop and enjoy life to the full. We provide a hands on service in our wonderful facility (indoor and outdoor) in the beautiful Wicklow countryside and we are certain that children will benefit from the experience and want to come back for more. Our dedicated camps will run with a staff ratio of one adult to three children.
Ann Marie Marah of Lilliput Childcare has this to say about the new offering at Lilliput Childcare: “Over the past few years we’ve received a number of enquiries in relation to our camps and the suitability for those who may need a little more attention such as those on the Autism spectrum as it would appear that there are few options available which is frustrating for parents and children alike. We’ve got wonderful facilities here in Rathdrum and our location is the ideal spot for a total break so we’ve decided to offer this programme for summer with which allows children and their families enjoy time out with a difference“.
Some of the activities running during the course of our camps includes;
- Vegetable planting in our polytunnel
- Outdoor obstacle course
- Hen run and egg collecting
- Indoor arts & crafts
- Outdoor sensory cabin
- Indoor sensory room
- Indoor and outdoor activities
- Sand and water play
These Camps will run on a number of dates;
Tuesday 4th August – Friday 7th August, 10am – 3pm
Monday 24th August – Friday 28th August, 10am – 3pm
The charge for our camps is as follows;
- 1 day €55
- 2 days €105
- 3 days €150
- 4 days €190
- 5 days €230
Freshly cooked and nutritious meals will be provided catering for all dietary requirements. We can also offer a drop and collect service for those living in South Dublin or North & Central Wicklow.
Our annual Summer Camps are also now available for booking and remaining dates this year are the weeks commencing 10th August and 17th August with each running from 9am to 3pm each day and including a wide range of active and creative pursuits. All are suitable for children aged four to twelve years and cost €65 per child per week or €85 per family of two with snack and dinner included.
